About Us

Vida Yoga Therapy is my style to teach Yoga: individually and customized. I have been practicing Yoga and also studying and working in Psychology for the last 25 years. As a Yoga Therapist, I am able to create accessible, engaging, purposed and fun Yoga practices. I have students of all ages, physical and mental conditions. Children or adults with or without mental health diagnose, expecting moms, recovering and former athletes, people dealing with chronic pain or any other condition to give few examples.

I have more than 1000 hr of Yoga Training, including 300 hr YTT with Yogi Charu at Bhakti Center, Yoga Nidra, Pre Natal Yoga, Gentle Yoga and Yoga for the Special Child certifications. My classes are customized and follow a therapeutic protocol. Yoga practice is therapeutic by nature, and a Yoga Therapy session will address in detail the student’s individual needs.

A little be more about Daniella.

Before coming to the US, Daniella worked as a Licensed Psychologist from 1998 to 2014 in Curitiba, Brazil . She worked in diverse settings, where she conducted psychological evaluations, constructed treatment plans, engaged in psychotherapy with children and adults, and provided psycho-education for patients, parents and professionals at multi-disciplinary teams. In 2016 she earned a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from Chatham University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. During that time she conducted research exploring how mindfulness techniques such Yoga and Meditation might enhance self-regulation processes. After graduation, Daniella continued to explore and teach yoga and meditation as tools for mental health and promotes diversity and inclusion of those practices. Regardless of age, social and cultural background, Daniella is enthusiastic about helping individuals and families improve their health, relationships, and quality of life. In addition to working as a therapist I am also a Research Assistant at the CIRCLE lab at the Psychology and Neuroscience Department of UNC Chapel Hill.

"Yoga is when every cell in the body sings the song of the soul."
